Trust Me introduces us to Howard Holloway played by Gregg , a former child actor turned Hollywood agent. Just when it seems that nothing could possibly go right for Howard, he meets Lydia, a wonderfully talented thirteen year old wunderkind who may not be familiar with some of the most famous names in Hollywood, but who immediately recognizes something in the hapless agent that she can trust, not only on a professional level, but on a personal level as well. Macy, Amanda Peet, Molly Shannon, and Paul Sparks…everybody is perfectly cast, and that most definitely includes Gregg himself, whose Howard is principled and smart and unfailingly sympathetic. The concept of the scene works all right, but it would be so much more powerful and moving if it had a different look. That aside, Trust Me is pretty wonderful. I think one has to become somewhat vulnerable and broken to truly experience the best side of happy- and he will not, and can not allow that to happen.
